I’ve shown the Custom 6.5 Creedmoor Ken Barfield built for me, soon after I got it CZ announced they’d be building the CZ527 in 6.5 Grendel with a 24″ barrel, the little 527’s are a favorite of mine so I threw my name in the hat for one and the waiting game began. A few weeks ago I learned a local shop had a CZ 550FS in 6.5×55 Swede, a rifle I’d been keeping an eye out for over a five year period or so, a friend beat me to it but told me I’d be at the top of list if he decided to sell it. Only a few week later he called and said it was mine if I still wanted it, well darned if the same day the local shop called to say the CZ 527 was finally in, I picked up the 550FS the very next day. I’m happy and the wife is shaking her head not for the first time, lol. The 550FS appears unfired and was built in 2001, the 527 doesn’t have great wood but is attractive but has the worst target I’ve seen with a CZ, good thing I know these are just function targets and I’ve never had one that wouldn’t better its factory target.
The 6.5 Creedmoor
The 550FS in 6.5×55 Swedish
The CZ 527American in 6.5 Grendel with 24″ barrel. A whole lot of 6.5 goodness there.
